Chair's Address

Dear Member,

Welcome to RTG. Another year went by, and we sincerely hope you managed to stay safe during these challenging times.

We are very pleased to launch our Programme 2022. Those who have been with us this year know that we continued with all our events online. Both evening seminars and Saturday workshops have been very popular amongst members and non-members with high level of attendance and positive feedback received. COVID situation remains to be uncertain, so we decided to continue with remaining 2021 events online.

We sent a questionnaire in the summer asking your opinions for going forward. The results showed some preference for online events. They appear to be safe, easy to attend, and less time consuming while still providing us with great CPD opportunities. At the same time, more than half replies highlighted some interest in having seminars in person occasionally and when safe to do so. We have taken your views into account and put together a Programme which hopefully will accommodate both options. As always, you will receive notifications about upcoming events. Some of those are already planned as online seminars. Decision about others will be taken depending on the situation. Please pay attention to our announcements which way events will be held.  

Our new Programme is diverse with topics and speakers we haven’t had before as well as speakers we enjoyed learning from previously. We hope you will find it stimulating and exciting. As before, we are aiming to run 8 evening seminars and two half-Saturday workshops in 2022.

We look forward to having you with us next year, and will be delighted if you decide to join RTG, both as a renewing or a new member. We hope that RTG will continue to be a valuable source of your professional development. All our admin work has now moved online, so you will continue receiving your certificates of attendance and links to feedback forms by email. Membership applications can also be filled in online as last year. We decided yet again to keep our membership fee same as for the past 6 years, i.e. £45 with an early bird discount of £5 before the 31 December 2021 and £50 after.

The Benefits of Annual Membership

Membership entitles you to free entrance to 8 evening events (12 hours CPD), reduced rates for our workshops, and an opportunity to network with other professionals. You will receive information about RTG activities, noticeboard information from organisations and individuals on placements, supervision, room hire / share, research, groups, events, courses, workshops, employment opportunities, and other networking notices. This information is also available on our website. At no time will your information be given to third parties. You may unsubscribe at any time by contacting catherine.winchester@gmail.com.

You can join by filling in an application form and post or email it to us.

Payments for membership can be made by cheque payable to Reading Therapies Group or via a bank transfer. Details can be found on the form.

Non-members can also attend our event for £10 for evening seminars. Individual workshop fees will apply.
