Welcome to Reading Therapies GroupReading Therapies Group is an established network of practitioners interested in the promotion and furtherance of good psychotherapeutic practice in the area of Reading and Berkshire. The Group was established in 1986 by Jane Knowles, and ran for many years from the Winterbourne House in Reading. Our aim has always been and remains to provide quality CPD and networking support for local clinicians and those interested in psychotherapy. Over the years ‘Local’ became ‘regional’ as our membership has grown. We continue organising a programme of evening seminars and workshops that are open to our members and non-members, therapists from all backgrounds, those still in training, and those interested in counselling and psychotherapy. We value and welcome input from our members and encourage them to take an active role in shaping RTG’ present and future RTG meetings are approved for Royal College of Psychiatrists CPD: 1.5 external units per session. Sessions may also be used as proof of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) towards accreditation and re-accreditation. Certificates of Attendance are issued after each meeting. Reading Therapies Group uses fees from memberships and meetings to pay for speakers, room hire, admin and other necessary costs. We are a non-profit making group run by volunteers. Our Annual General Meeting is held in April and all members are invited to attend. Minutes of the AGM are available on members' request. |
